The legend behind this crystal describes the story of Venus, the Roman goddess of love, Venus. While swimming in a mountain lake, Venus, lost a strand of her hair. Once she had finished swimming in a river on top of a mountain she returned home . After returning home she realised a piece of her long golden hair was missing. She returned to the river in hopes of finding her hair, however upon her arrival back the river had frozen solid. Whilst gazing at the ice she spotted something shining lying beneath the frozen water. She found the site to be so beautiful that she decided to keep it forever.
